The liquid will go through the SA Liquid Separator System (with 10 gallon reservoir) before it has a chance to reach the pump, leaving your pump dry.
Large and thick sheets may be used for the system, which allows you the freedom to not use a traditional hydraulic press. Use is simple, just place your wet sheets on the vacuum table, seal it with plastic and turn on the vacuum. This turn-key solution takes the labor out of the process. Bases and custom sizes are available per your specification.

PRESS RESULTS WITHOUT THE PRESS
Pressing large or thick handmade sheets usually means a hydraulic press — expensive, slow, and limited to the platen size. A papermaking vacuum table replaces it: lay the wet sheet on the table, seal it with plastic, and turn on the vacuum. Atmospheric pressure does the pressing evenly across the entire sheet, the pulled water routes through a liquid separator with a 10-gallon reservoir so the pump never sees it, and the ±.001″-per-linear-foot surface means the sheet dries flat instead of wavy. Tables are sized to your largest sheet, with zones for smaller formats on the same table.
